Make Your Own Handmade Book

21 Mar

Ready to make your own handmade book? These are the perfect size for jotting down notes or making a compact scrapbook. All you need are a few supplies, including a pretty patterned fabric. I like using thick canvas fabrics (iKea has some good ones!) for a sturdy, finished look. Enjoy!

Bright Whites & Pops of Color

20 Mar

Yesterday was one of those nights where I spent way too much time browsing home interiors. So much that my eyes are going crazy from staring at the computer too long. While I love my apartment, sometimes I want to just start fresh and redecorate. Today, I’m feeling bright whites with pops of color. Perfect for our upcoming spring season – happy first day of spring, by the way!

Handmade Book for M

19 Mar

A bit late, but this year, Mike and I decided to make each other’s Valentine’s day gifts. Here’s what I made – a handmade book stuffed with pictures and words. The book is made using thick canvas fabric, a bit of sewing, and a lot of hot glue! I’ll be sharing a tutorial for making your own book this week!

Weekend Words

16 Mar

Hello friends! So, we made it to the weekend. What are your plans?

We’re planning to not let the forecast of hail and thunderstorms get in the way of our St. Patrick’s Day festivities. There will be green jello and beer, rain or shine! I’m also hoping to spend some down time getting started on a few projects that I’ve been meaning to get going. I blame Pinterest in the best way possible – I’m completely addicted.

Mini Instax Books

14 Mar

I am constantly drawn to mini notebooks, journals, and photo books. I just can’t help it, especially if they come in gorgeous minty, pastel colors and simple designs like these. Wouldn’t these be the perfect home for a collection of small photos, ticket stubs, and scribbled notes?

On another note, I feel like its been forever since I’ve created anything. This is not good for my sanity. I have an entire folder of projects that I want to indulge in, but yet to get them going. It’s time to end this creative lull and get motivated!!

Pot + Pantry

13 Mar

A few weeks ago, we were walking around the Mission in San Francisco and came across one of those stores. You know, those stores that are just SO everything you’d ever want in a store if you had one?! No? Maybe I’m just weird. Pot + Pantry, a small kitchen boutique, is that kind of store to me – I knew from first glance at the store’s font and window display that it would be amazing. And then, we went inside and the products and displays were just as gorgeous as the store front. Pot + Pantry is bursting with unique and vintage kitchen trinkets and essentials – all packaged into the most adorable little store!
